Welcome to the Waconia Ice Arena!

The Waconia Ice Arena is owned by the City of Waconia and operated by Rink Management Services Corporation. As the home ice for the Waconia Hockey Association and the Waconia Wildcats Boys and Girls hockey teams, competition from surrounding high schools and youth hockey associations travel to showcase their talent versus our hometown teams.

The facility also provides skate lessons, open skate hours and a variety of other programming. In addition, the Waconia Ice Arena has meeting rooms that can be reserved for your next business meeting, family event, team gatherings, or children's birthday parties.

​

A concession stand with a variety of food and beverage options is open from late October through mid-March during the hockey season and on weekends during open skate programs.

  • The brand-new outdoor rink, near the ice arena and skate park, is open! It is free for everyone to enjoy.

  • There are no skate rentals available.

  • The warming house is open daily from 8am-9pm. Remember to grab your belongings by 9:15pm as the doors will lock then.  Please help us keep the warming house clean.

  • The Waconia Parks Team will be on top of maintaining and improving ice quality all season long, weather dependent.

New Waiver Policy.   Waivers will be required for all participants in a private ice rentals.  Children under 18 will need an adult to fill out the form. **Excludes Open Skate, Open Hockey, and parties booked with Waconia Ice Arena Staff.
