Youth Open Hockey 

Gather your neighborhood friends and head to the rink for some pick up hockey with other boys and girls the same age. For all youth hockey participants, full gear is required for youth open hockey. Youth open hockey will be offered once again in Spring & Summer 2017. Session 1 is for ages (11-14).  Session 2 is for ages (6-10).  Adults are only allowed on the ice to coach or train their child.  

Adult Open Hockey

Waconia Ice arena strives to offer weekly adult open hockey sessions for ages 15 +. Cost is $6.00 per skater. However, goalies play free (Max 2). 

10-Visit Punch Cards available for purchase for $48.00 per person

Full equipment is required.


Waconia Hockey Association 

The Waconia Hockey Association (WHA) serves as the area's youth hockey association. The WHA offers hockey programs for boys and girls ages 4-15. The WHA is sanctioned and part of MInnesota Hockey and USA Hockey. The WHA opens registration in August. Visit for complete programs details and to see when the season starts for each age group.

Don't forget, the WHA offers a fun and exciting way to introduce those boys and girls ages 4-8 to the great game of hockey through their Rookie Camp program. Rookie Camp is free for first-time registrants and is typically held in October.
